Tangier Smith Elementary School Class Welcomes Student Pilot Via Zoom
Third-grade students in Mrs. Caitlin Contes and Ms. Michelle Montalbano’s class at Tangier Smith Elementary School recently welcomed – via Zoom – Luke Zadrazil, a college freshman currently attending Averett University in Danville, Virginia, to discuss his studies to become a certified flight instructor and eventually a commercial airline pilot.
Sponsor Announced for Brookhaven Recycling Efforts
Brookhaven Town Supervisor Daniel J. Panico and members of the Town Council accepted a check for $5,000 from Suffolk Credit Union, a sponsor of the 2025 Town of Brookhaven Recycling Events. The contribution will support thirteen E-Waste, Paper Shredding, and Drug Take Back events across the Town.
