South Shore Press Video Vault: Attorney Joe Burns, Local Election Ruling

There's an important update to tell you about concerning the court case of whether or not local elections in NYS are moving to even-numbered years.

Democrats want this because they believe higher turnout in even-numbered years (like Presidential and Gubernatorial years) will wipe out the GOP locally in New York State.

There's no change in the decision that keeps elections "as is." Local elections remain on the current calendar. For now.

New York State wanted their appeal to "skip the line" and be heard right away by the Court of Appeals.  That was denied this week.

Power lawyer Joe Burns from power firm Holtzman Vogel breaks it down for us in our South Shore Press Video Vault.
