Daniel J. Panico Supervisor | Town of Brookhaven

Councilwoman Jane Bonner participated in a showcase event held by the Miller Place Homemakers and the North Shore Homemakers at the Coram Fire Department headquarters on October 19. The event was open to the public and featured homemade crafts and shared crafting ideas.

The homemaker groups are actively involved in community service, supporting various causes such as Christmas stockings for military personnel, food pantries, cancer patients, and Suffolk County residents in need.

The Suffolk County Homemakers Council functions as an advisory board for homemaker units within the county. It offers resources such as a newsletter titled "Council Connection," scholarships, workshops, guest speakers, and classes on crafts and cooking. The Council facilitates collaboration among units to share ideas and coordinate community service efforts.
