Money Matters Mondays to teach financial literacy in Brookhaven for youth ages 16 to 24

Money Matters Mondays presents a comprehensive financial literacy series for youth ages 16 to 24 on Mondays in September. The series is a collaboration between the Town of Brookhaven and the Department of General Services.

According to a Town of Brookhaven news release, the event aims to help young individuals gain essential financial skills that enable them to navigate their financial futures with confidence.

The series will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Mondays in September at Brookhaven Town Hall, 1st floor meeting room - south, 1 Independence Hill, Farmingville, New York.

Chase Community Manager Kate Travers will be the speaker. Workshop topics include: Sept. 16, How to Set Financial Goals, Create a Budget, and Save Your Earnings; Sept. 23, Understanding, Building, and Improving Your Credit Score; and Sept. 30 Investing 101 with a Financial Advisor.
