Brookhaven Councilmember Jonathan Kornreich joined Town Clerk Kevin J. LaValle during his most recent mobile office hours at the Comsewogue Public Library.

Clerk LaValle shared interesting tidbits of information about the Comsewogue Public Library, includingWatch your garden grow with seeds from the Comsewogue Library. The library offers various flowers, fruits, herbs, and vegetables.

  • The library has a sit-down area for those who want to relax, read, play games, and complete a puzzle.
  • Bring your kids to the kids' room for playtime, reading time, and or attend some of the kid programs offered.
  • There are Mount Sinai/ Miller Place's historic images and artifacts throughout the library.
  • View unique sculptures crafted by Paul Suominen, including the dragon sculpture "Ms. Lotta Scales.”
  • “Library of Things” is a collection of nontraditional library items to borrow, like a telescope, karaoke machine, Kindle, lawn signs, corn hole, and more.
  • Visit the spacious Comsewogue Library art gallery to view numerous original works from local artists.
