William Floyd student-musicians from William Paca Middle School, William Floyd Middle School and William Floyd High School, had the opportunity to represent their school and district in the 2023 New York State Band Directors Association (NYSBDA) All-State Honor Band Festival this past weekend in Syracuse, NY! These talented student-musicians were selected based on their outstanding NYSSMA solo scores and upon director recommendation. Congratulations to the students on this great honor!

William Paca Middle School (director – Joseph Cordaro): Matthew Shaw (bass clarinet)

William Floyd Middle School (director – Dawn Conefry): Matthew Danielsen (bass clarinet) and Becky Neikens (flute).

William Floyd High School (directors – Garry Helbock and Kim Hyland): Kassidy Chamberlain (piccolo), Joshua Crespo (baritone saxophone), Adam Resnik (clarinet) and Jackson Seifert (trombone). Nicholas Hristidis (alto saxophone) and Giavanna Moscardino (clarinet) were selected as alternates.

Additionally, Kassidy Chamberlain was selected for an additional honor - to serve on a NYSBDA student panel for a question and answer session on life as a band student in school, commitment and leadership!

Congratulations to the students and their directors!
