Great Hollow Middle School Takes The Field For A Great Cause

When the Great Hollow Middle School took the field this week it was about more than just taking the field and winning a game.

The Great Hollow vs. Cancer event was organized by Great Hollow Middle School field hockey coach Colleen

McKillop, and raises money for the nonprofit organization Corey's Promise.

The even features a day for the school teams to host a game, and students and faculty are invited to watch them participate in various after-school sports. The football team, along with both the boys and girls soccer teams and the field hockey team all participated in this great cause. On the sidelines were also the Great Hollow kickline and cheerleading teams to encourage the athletes.

Donations came from students, teachers, staff and parents and will be sent to the nonprofit organization, Corey’s Promise. In all the event raised more than $2,000 in the fight against cancer.
