Make It 4 In A Row For Commack

Evan Kay Celebrates | Axcess Baseball | Facebook

Winning championships has become a trend for the Commack Cougars. The Cougars already have a three peat, after winning last season, and now they can say they are a 4 peat champion. Commack earned that title by beating Sachem North, 2-1, this weekend.

Their star pitcher shined as bright as he ever has in a complete game masterpiece. Righty Evan Kay has been stellar all season and capped off the historical year with one of the best games of his career. Evan Kay is known as one of the best pitchers in Suffolk County history and putting a final championship on that resume is just a cherry on top. Kay is the defending Suffolk Pitcher of the Year and might have had an even better season this year. He has pitched 60 straight scoreless innings and finished with 4 wins and even threw in a save this season for good measure.

The Cougars ended the year 17-8 overall and now will face Farmingdale in the Long Island Championship.
