A Long Island Star Continues To Shine At Stony Brook

Stony Brook's Natalia Chornomidza has been named the CAA Rookie Diver of the Month for November/December.

Chornomidza is a Lindenhurst freshman who Long Island swimming and diving fans know well. She was a four-year letterman at Lindenhurt and spent the last season as captain of the team. 

Chornomidza was named to the 2023-2024 All-America team and was an All-America Academic selection. The two-time All-State (2022, 2023) and 2023 All-Long Island team member also was a part of three-time All-County (2021, 2022, 2023) choices.

Chornomidza holds six school records in diving and she excels when she is not in the pool receiving an AP Scholar Award, AP Seminar and Research Certificate, AP Scholar with Honors, AP Capstone Diploma, and AP scholar with Distinction.
