Brookhaven seeks nominations for annual women's recognition awards

The Brookhaven Town Division of Women’s Services is inviting nominations for the 39th Annual Women’s Recognition Awards. The awards aim to honor women in Brookhaven who have made significant contributions to the community, either professionally or as volunteers.

Community groups, businesses, and individuals are encouraged to submit nominations for women they believe deserve special recognition. To be eligible, nominees must live or work within Brookhaven Town. Nominations should include a resume or equivalent document and two letters of recommendation.

This year’s awards ceremony will take place during Women’s History Month in March 2025. The categories for nomination include Business, Communications/Social Media, Community Service Volunteer, Arts, Education, Government, Health Care Providers, Legal Profession, Military/Law Enforcement First Responders, Religion, Science, and Sports.

Nominations must be submitted by Friday, January 17, 2025. Forms can be accessed online at Brookhavenny.gov or by contacting the Division of Women’s Services at 631-451-6146.
