Recently, Irene Minicozzi visited Town Hall to collect a prize on behalf of her daughter, Melissa Carretto. Carretto was one of six winners in the Town of Brookhaven's "Brookhaven Recycles Day" Compost Tumbler Giveaway. The event was an online contest held on Facebook, where participants pledged to recycle for a chance to win. One winner was chosen from each Town Council District.

Councilman Michael Loguercio was present during the prize collection. Minicozzi picked up the compost tumbler for her daughter, who won it in Council District 4.
