The Smithtown Fire Department had the opportunity to serve as the color guard during the national anthems at a baseball game between the New York Mets and the Toronto Blue Jays. The event took place on Friday, July 23, 2024. The department's involvement added a ceremonial touch to the singing of both Canadian and American national anthems.
