NYS Senator Dean Murray Releases Statement on Critically Injured Cop

Long Island Expressway | SCPD

Suffolk County Police Officer Brendon Gallagher clings to life in Stony Brook University Hospital following a car crash while chasing a suspect Sunday on the Long Island Expressway.

New York State Senator Dean Murray released the following statement following the accident:

“Please keep Suffolk County Police Officer Brendon Gallagher in your prayers as he battles for his life following yesterday's accident on the LIE.

I renew my call to my Democrat colleagues in Albany to do the right thing and repeal these terrible, so-called, criminal justice "reforms" that have done nothing more than make things more dangerous for police and law-abiding citizens... and easier for criminals.

Please keep this hero, Officer Gallagher, and his family in your prayers.”
