The Brookhaven Town Board recently recognized the Red Knights Motorcycle Club New York Chapter 26 for their role in co-sponsoring the annual Teddy Bear Run. This event aims to gather donations of new teddy bears for children in need within Brookhaven Town. The run commenced at noon and concluded with a lunch at Painters’ Restaurant in Brookhaven hamlet, where non-riders also participated, and the first 100 riders received complimentary t-shirts. This year's Teddy Bear Run successfully collected nearly 500 teddy bears.
The initiative is part of the Town of Brookhaven's INTERFACE program, which offers various goods and services to those in need through volunteer efforts and generous contributions from community partners. The town expressed gratitude towards volunteers and residents who support these charitable activities.
