Ward Melville Has A Magical Week

When the Ward Melville Cheer Team was selected to head down to Walt Disney World to compete for the UCA High School Nationals, they knew they were facing off against not only the other teams there but also history.

They faced that history and made some of their own when they placed 2nd in the Nation.

That is the highest ever for a Ward Melville cheer team, and they can write their names in the history books.

Competing in the Small Coed Game Day Division, Ward Melville had an outstanding performance all weekend and set the new standard at the school.

In addition, they also received 6th place in a tough division.

The school put out a statement for the team that said, "Congratulations Cheer Team and we are so proud of how hard you worked to bring our Cheer Program to the highest level of competition. Good luck at the Suffolk County Traditional Championship next weekend."
