Man Killed in Early Morning House Fire in Manorville

A man was killed in a house fire early Tuesday morning in Manorville, according to Suffolk County Police.

Police and firefighters responded to 434 Village Circle North in Greenwood Village at approximately 6:35 a.m. after a 911 caller reported the blaze. Once the fire was extinguished, emergency responders discovered a deceased individual inside the home.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity, which will be determined through an autopsy conducted by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office. Officials confirmed that he was alone in the residence at the time of the fire, and no other injuries were reported.

Detectives from the Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad and Arson Section are investigating the incident. However, at this time, authorities believe the fire was not caused by criminal activity. The investigation remains ongoing, according to Commissioner Kevin Catalina.
