Can We Still Back the Rangers?

Rangers Empty Bats | Grok

This week the Texas Rangers fired their hitting coach Donnie Ecker amidst massive offensive struggles and sports bettors everywhere sighed.

The move was made because of the Rangers complete lack of offense, from a team that was expected to be an offensive force, but for sports bettors we might have lost a great angle to grab this season.

The Rangers have scored the second fewest runs in the league and have a record below .500. What is more infuriating is that their staff has been lights out with a 3.44 ERA, making Texas sixth in baseball and fourth in the American League.

What that has led to for sports bettors is the best under team in the league. The Rangers are cashing unders at over a 68% clip this season with only 11 of their games going over the total.

A new hitting coach might not be the complete solution but it's now time to take that into consideration. The Rangers also recalled one of their top hitting prospects the following day when Evan Carter joined the squad and released Leody Taveras. Earlier in the week they sent Jake Burger down to the minors and are trying everything in their power to spark this lineup.

We have gone from an almost auto-bet on the Rangers unders to taking a wait and see attitude with the new adjustments.

As far as the best team to hit the overs so far this season? That is the Miami Marlins. The public doesn't seem to trust their offense, despite scoring 15 runs in 3 games against the Dodgers, and their pitching is worse than anyone imagined. The Marlins are cashing over tickets at a 66% clip, with Seattle in second at 62%.

Bowl Season Brings Value

The new landscape of college football has brought many changes, and the transfer portal has significantly affected bowl games.
