The William Floyd varsity spring sports teams have had a successful season, with five teams qualifying for the playoffs.

The baseball, flag football, boys' lacrosse, girls' lacrosse, and boys' tennis teams are all advancing to the postseason.

The varsity baseball team, coached by Keith Kobasiuk, secured a playoff spot for the second year in a row with an 11-9 overall record.

They will face Walt Whitman in their first-round match of the Section XI double-elimination tournament.

Under Coach Ron Krawczyk's guidance, the flag football team finished fourth in League I with a 10-4-2 record. They will host Commack at Woodhull Turf Field in their playoff opener.

The girls' lacrosse team, led by Nicole Alesi, has qualified for the playoffs for five consecutive seasons.

With a 10-6 record this year, they will play Ward Melville at Lincoln Avenue Sports Complex Turf Field.

Coach Desmond Megna's boys' lacrosse team returned to the playoffs after two years but lost narrowly to Ward Melville. The team celebrated Megna's 100th career victory during this season.

The boys' tennis team earned its fourth straight playoff berth under Coach Michael Clauberg.

Although they were defeated by Smithtown West in a close match, players like Vidal Macchia excelled individually and qualified for further championships.

Both track teams also had commendable seasons.

The boys’ track team finished second in League I and is aiming for success at county championships. Notable performers included Christian Hopson and Zavier Jenkins.

The girls’ track team's Zariel Macchia achieved significant individual success at the Glenn D. Loucks Games and qualified for state championships.
