A former employee has filed a lawsuit against Airvet, Inc., alleging gender and religious discrimination and retaliation that led to her termination.

According to the lawsuit filed by plaintiff Jessica Snyder, she was employed as a Client Success Manager and had received positive feedback regarding her job performance. Snyder alleges her termination followed complaints she made about discriminatory comments made by senior employees during a company retreat.

The alleged incidents occurred in July 2024 at an off-site retreat in Stamford, Connecticut. Snyder claims she was assigned a windowless basement room while male colleagues stayed in a hotel. She further alleges that high-level employees made offensive comments during the event, including remarks attributed to Cecily Spikes, Regional Vice President of Sales for the West Coast. The complaint states that these included racially charged statements about certain neighborhoods and references to fears of drugging.

Snyder alleges that she reported these incidents to company management but that no disciplinary action was taken. Instead, she claims she was terminated shortly afterward for pretextual reasons, including allegations that she had made inappropriate sexual comments, which she denies.

The lawsuit seeks a declaratory judgment that Airvet violated federal and state anti-discrimination laws. Snyder also seeks economic damages for lost wages and benefits, compensatory damages for emotional distress, and punitive damages.

The plaintiff is represented by attorneys Shawn R. Clark and Alexa N. Salazar of Faruqi & Faruqi LLP. The case was filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York under Civil Case No.: 1:25-cv-4302.
