Fleet Connect Solutions LLC has filed a lawsuit against a New York-based company, alleging infringement of patents related to fleet management technology. The case names Vehicle Tracking Solutions, LLC, which operates under the name IntelliShift, as the defendant.

The lawsuit alleges that IntelliShift violated seven U.S. patents owned by Fleet Connect Solutions. These patents cover technological innovations in wireless communication and fleet management systems. According to the complaint, IntelliShift’s products—including dashcams and mobile applications—incorporate patented technologies designed to improve data transmission and field operations using handheld devices. The plaintiff claims that these products use wireless protocols such as Bluetooth and LTE to perform functions protected by the patents.

Fleet Connect contends that IntelliShift was aware of the patents yet continued to market and sell its products in violation of patent laws. The complaint accuses the defendant of both direct infringement and indirect infringement by inducing others to use the products in ways that violate Fleet Connect’s patent rights.

The plaintiff seeks monetary damages, including reasonable royalties, interest, and litigation costs. Fleet Connect also requests treble damages for alleged willful infringement under 35 U.S.C. § 284, as well as a declaration that the case is exceptional and warrants attorney fees under 35 U.S.C. § 285.

The plaintiff is represented by attorney James F. McDonough III of Rozier Hardt McDonough PLLC. The case was filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York under Case ID 2:25-cv-04453
