The Town of Brookhaven Women’s Services Division is launching the Career EDGE Job Readiness series this September, offering free career development support for unemployed and under-employed women. The program will run on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, with sessions at Sachem Library in Holbrook and Mastic Moriches Shirley Library in Shirley.

Participants can choose their preferred location when registering online at BrookhavenNY.gov/CareerEdge. The classes are scheduled for Tuesdays—September 9, 16, 23, 30 and October 7—and Wednesdays—September 10, 17, 24, October 1, and October 8.

The initiative is sponsored by the Town of Brookhaven and presented by Dress for Success Brookhaven. There is no cost to join. According to organizers, the seminar series connects women with professional networks and expert speakers. It aims to help participants develop job search skills through weekly training sessions, individual coaching, and networking opportunities.
