Thomas puts up 300+ yards to lead Floyd

Thomas and teammates at media day | Tom Barton

It seems like every time you look at a William Floyd's box score and take a peek at Ja’Quan Thomas's numbers you have to take a double take; this week was a triple take as the star running back ran wild.

Thomas rushed for over 300 yards in Floyd's 20-0 victory over Brentwood.

Thomas, who was the best player in Suffolk, and many said the entire state last season, has left off right where he was and just keeps churning out yards. He carried the ball just 22 times and added to his impressive touchdown totals with three more on the day.

For their part Brentwood kept things close most of the way. It was just a 6-0 game heading into the 4th quarter before Thomas ran in two more touchdowns, one being a 44 yarder that sealed the deal for Floyd.

Thomas now has nearly 400 yards on the ground through just two games and six touchdowns as they now travel to Sachem East next weekend.
