ZUFFA, LLC, the company behind the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), has taken legal action against a Brooklyn-based establishment for allegedly pirating one of its pay-per-view broadcasts. The complaint was filed by ZUFFA, LLC in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York on December 5, 2025, targeting Mustafa Alkan, Memet Arslan, Huseyin Kaymak, and their business entity 4 NY, Inc., doing business as Rocca Cafe Lounge.
The case centers around the alleged unauthorized exhibition of UFC 318 - Holloway vs. Poirier 3 PPV Broadcast that took place on July 19, 2025. According to the complaint filed by ZUFFA's attorneys at Lonstein Law Office, P.C., the defendants intercepted and displayed the broadcast without obtaining a commercial license from ZUFFA. This act is claimed to be in violation of federal laws under 47 U.S.C. §§ 553 and 605 which protect against unauthorized reception and use of radio communications.
ZUFFA alleges that Alkan, Arslan, and Kaymak were not only involved in the operations but also financially benefited from this illegal activity at Rocca Cafe Lounge located at Emmons Avenue in Brooklyn. The complaint accuses them of using various illicit methods to access the broadcast meant for private viewing and displaying it commercially without authorization. "Defendants willfully violated federal law for direct or indirect commercial advantage," states the lawsuit.
The plaintiff seeks substantial damages from each defendant under both counts cited in their complaint. For violating section 605(a), ZUFFA requests statutory penalties ranging between $1,000 to $10,000 per defendant with potential enhanced damages up to $100,000 due to willful misconduct. Similarly, for breaching section 553 related to cable service interception, they seek penalties up to $10,000 per defendant with additional enhanced damages potentially reaching $50,000.
Furthermore, ZUFFA is asking for an injunction against future unauthorized exhibitions by these defendants along with recovery of attorney fees and other legal costs incurred during this litigation process.
Representing ZUFFA is Julie Cohen Lonstein from Lonstein Law Office based in Ellenville New York while details about defense counsel remain undisclosed as proceedings commence before Judge ARL under Case ID: 2:25-cv-06721-ARL.
