On October 26, the Rocky Point McDonald's located at 463 Route 25A reopened after undergoing a complete renovation. The event was attended by Brookhaven Town Councilwoman Jane Bonner, who presented a Certificate of Congratulations to the staff and mascot "Grimace."
The reopening ceremony included notable attendees such as Peter Rotolo, owner of Hune Enterprises; Sabrina Ambrosini, General Manager of the Rocky Point McDonald's; and Suffolk County Legislator Chad Lennon.
Voters in the Mastics-Moriches-Shirley Community Library District overwhelmingly approved the library’s 2025-2026 operating budget on Tuesday, April 22, by a vote of 400 to 249 — a decisive 62 percent margin of support.
Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Bureau Deputy Sheriff Investigators, in conjunction with US Marshal Regional Task Force arrested 32-year-old Peter Czech, a fugitive from justice from the State of Kansas.
