Wilderness Art Exhibit at National Seashore

A “Wilderness Art Exhibit” hosted by the Fire Island National Seashore is on display until December 3 at the tower overlooking the Atlantic at Smith Point Park in Shirley.

The art, featuring works by David Adams and park visitors, was inspired by the seashore scenes along the Otis Pike Fire Island High Dune Wilderness and surrounding waterfront areas that make the South Shore so unique.

The popular seashore, managed by the U.S. Parks Service, is visited by hundreds of thousands every year for its natural dune areas and access to the sea.
