The Gastro Bar & Pizzette was the gracious host of the first annual Pridesgiving gathering organized by the Patchogue Pride Committee.

“We didn’t want anyone to feel alone for the holidays,” said James Diele-Stein, a co-founder of the year-old organization. He thanked many of the area restaurants that provided food in support of the LGBTQIA+ community.

“We want to make sure there are events for everyone so they feel part of a great community that we all call home,” said Michelle Cavaleri, a committee co-chair who helped put on the event along with Chris Genovese, Michelle Rafferty, and Ariana Castelli, Gastro owner.

Also making an appearance was Jolly St. Nick portrayed by John Schimmel, who also goes by Santa John 631, available for events through Facebook.

“It was a fabulous celebration of love, diversity, and gratitude,” Diele-Stein concluded.
