Nearly 30 new staff members started their journey in the Center Moriches School District during new staff orientation on Aug. 31. The group gathered at the district office for a day filled with presentations and trainings to prepare for the upcoming year.

The orientation program kicked off with a welcome from Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ron Masera. New staff members then boarded a bus for a tour through the Moriches area where they learned about local history and the community. The group was introduced to district administrators, learned about Center Moriches’ mentoring and professional development programs, and were given an overview of special education, technology, personnel, the business office and security throughout the district.
