| Robert Chartuk

The 11th Annual Anthony Parlato 5K Memorial Run cruised through Center Moriches over the weekend to raise funds for the Moriches Community Center. In tribute to the triathlete deeply involved in his community who had the motto, “Help Someone Today,” the event’s proceeds will go toward the center’s many programs, including a full summer lineup open to the public. They are sponsoring Olympic Week, Camp Creativity, Theater Arts Camp, and a Folkie Fest. The center hosts a Chill Zone for students at its building next to the Center Moriches High School, dodgeball, Quiz Night, Fitness Fun with IGHL and many other activities. For more information, go to their website at MorichesCommunityCenter.org
