Tennis Championships Spread Across Suffolk

The Ward Melville tennis team won both the singles and doubles titles at the Section XI - Suffolk County Athletics Division III Championships this week.

Ward Melville was led by Robert Monticciolo , who won his singles title and Harshith Pennabadi & Shashank Pennabadi who won their doubles championship.

Meanwhile, earlier in the week Ishaanth Reddy Guduru, from Smithtown West took home the singles championship for Division 1 and Commack's Eric Benderly & James Yuwon the doubles title.

Pat LaFontaine’s plaque has officially been added to the Islanders Hall of Fame wall, placing him among some of the most legendary figures in franchise history. The former star forward was inducted into the Ring of Honor at UBS Arena, becoming the 17th member to receive the prestigious distinction.
