Smithtown West’s Jack Melore has officially crossed into the All-Time Great territory following Friday night’s thrilling Bulls victory over Hills West.

The senior Wide Receiver officially added two more Long Island records to his lengthy resume as he became the Island’s All-Time leader in career receptions and receiving yards during the penultimate regular season football game of his career.

Melore crossed both of these record thresholds on Friday night in a thrilling 42-35 victory over Half Hollow Hills West that helped the Bulls clinch their second consecutive playoff berth.

The Long Island Record in receptions in a career will now sit at 130 and counting while the career yards record also sits at 2,262 and counting while Melore will play at least two more games in his football career.

This brings the senior’s Long Island Record count up to four total as he also holds the single season receptions record (69 in 2022) and receptions in a single game which he has achieved twice in his career (16 in 2022 and 2023).

Melore has become one of the most exciting players in Suffolk County over his career as he has received a slew of accolades for his play at the Receiver and Safety positions. For his efforts on the field, he has also had some of the biggest football colleges in the northeast show interest in him.
