A lawsuit has been filed against Arrow Security, Inc. (formerly known as Aron Security), alleging discrimination and harassment related to pregnancy. The complaint, lodged on November 13, 2024, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, was filed by former employee Symfony Hart.

The lawsuit details Hart's experience working as a security guard at Samaritan Village, an all-men’s shelter in Brooklyn, where she was employed from February to May 2023. Hart claims she was subjected to daily sexual harassment and threats of violence from residents.

Despite multiple reports to supervisors, she alleges that no protective measures were taken, and she was told, "It was 'take it or leave it'" when seeking help.

In March 2023, Hart discovered she was pregnant and informed her supervisor. Shortly after disclosing her pregnancy, she was terminated from her position without explanation. When she attempted to reapply and request accommodations for her pregnancy-related health issues, her efforts were reportedly met with resistance.

Hart accuses Arrow Security of violating several laws designed to protect pregnant workers, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended by the Pregnancy Discrimination Act (PDA), the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). She asserts that these statutes prohibit pregnancy-related discrimination and require reasonable accommodations, which she claims were not provided.

Hart is seeking compensation for lost wages, emotional distress damages, punitive damages, and coverage of legal fees.

Representing the plaintiff is attorney Jordan El-Hag from El-Hag & Associates P.C. Case ID 2:24-cv-07898.
