Stony Brook resident wins compost tumbler in recycling contest

Recently, Bruce Hennessy from Council District 1 in Stony Brook visited Town Hall to collect his prize as one of the six winners of the Town of Brookhaven's "Brookhaven Recycles Day" Compost Tumbler Giveaway. The event was attended by Councilperson Jonathan Kornreich and Recycling Educator Zachary Sicardi.

The contest took place online via Facebook, where participants pledged to recycle for a chance to win. One winner was chosen from each Town Council District.
