The William Floyd boys' varsity basketball team has secured their third consecutive League I title. The team, under the guidance of head coach Will Slinkosky, achieved this milestone with a 72-64 win against Brentwood. This marks a historic achievement for the Colonials, as no other period in the program's history has seen such success.

In the decisive game, Dahmarion Moses delivered an impressive performance with a double-double, scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Jawuan Smith also contributed significantly with his own double-double, tallying 11 points and 10 rebounds. Sharod Sutton added 17 points while Jermaine King scored 15 points to help secure the victory.

With this win, the Colonials have earned a place in the Class AAA playoffs. They are focused on making a deep playoff run and aim to return to the Suffolk County Championship game.

Following their victory over Brentwood, the Colonials defeated Riverhead 66-51 on January 30. They will conclude their regular season with a home game against Central Islip on February 4, which is also Senior Night.

"Congratulations to all of the student-athletes and their coaches for yet another great season and good luck in the playoffs!"
