The Mount Sinai boys JV basketball team have won the league championship. 

Not only did the boys win the title but they also did so by being perfect. 

They ended their season undefeated by beating Kings Park in their last game this week 65-58. 

The victory clinched the Section XI, League 6 Championship with an unblemished 13-0 record.

Leading the scoring in the season clincher was Collin Bruder who paced the team with an impressive 24 points. 

Evan Schmit poured in 13 and Gavin Hertz's 11 points gave the team three double digit scorers. 

Ethan Arita chipped in 7 points while Craig Hall and Kyle Larruso had 4 points a piece and Dan Pesce added a bucket in the winning effort.

Sayville Football has won the Rutgers Trophy, awarded to the best team in Suffolk County. The Golden Flashes capped off an unforgettable season by finishing 12-0, securing their eighth Long Island Championship and bringing home the seventh Rutgers Trophy in program history. Sayville earned this prestigious honor at the Suffolk County Football Coaches Association dinner, where the program was officially recognized as Suffolk’s most outstanding team.
