Brookhaven School District appoints Darien Dorsey as new head football coach

The Brookhaven School District has appointed Darien Dorsey as the new head football coach of Brookhaven High School. The district is optimistic about Dorsey's selection, highlighting his extensive experience and commitment to student development.

Coach Dorsey brings 13 years of experience as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator, along with a history of success in other sports. He has won three state championships as a head track coach. His past as a collegiate athlete at Belhaven University reflects the discipline and dedication he now teaches his athletes.

"Coach Dorsey is a dynamic leader," stated Dr. Roderick Henderson, Superintendent of the Brookhaven School District, adding that Dorsey is "an energetic, hardworking, and community-oriented educator who understands that building a successful football program starts with building strong relationships, a solid work ethic, and a culture of accountability."
