Stony Brook Medicine is currently accepting applications for its Health Occupations Partnership for Excellence (HOPE) program. The program targets current sophomores who will advance to junior year in the 2025-26 academic year. HOPE aims to provide high school students from underserved and underrepresented communities with insights into healthcare careers.

The two-year after-school initiative offers classes and workplace shadowing experiences with Stony Brook Medicine faculty. Participants will gain exposure to various healthcare professions, including nursing, medicine, physical therapy, and laboratory technology. Candidates are expected to commit to the full duration of the program.
