Kevin Gardner, PhD Vice President for Research and Innovation | Stony Brook University Research & Innovation

Eleven colleges and schools at Stony Brook University have been selected to take part in the 2025 Stony Brook Athletics Dean’s Challenge. The initiative aims to strengthen ties between academic departments and the athletics program.

The Dean’s Challenge will be held during three Seawolves football games at LaValle Stadium in the fall season. Each participating school is encouraged to rally its community for attendance at these games. The school with the highest turnout will be declared the winner of the challenge.

According to organizers, this event is designed to foster partnerships across campus by bringing together students, faculty, and staff from different disciplines in support of Seawolves football.
