A former employee has filed a lawsuit against a major airline, alleging a pattern of discrimination and harassment. Alicia Mullice initiated the complaint on November 23, 2025, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York against Delta Air Lines, Inc., and its Administrative Committee.

The case centers around allegations of a hostile work environment and discriminatory practices based on race, age, disability, and perceived disability. Mullice claims that during her tenure at Delta Air Lines, she was subjected to racial discrimination as the only African American flight leader in her base. She recounts instances where Caucasian colleagues made derogatory comments about the racial composition of flight attendant groups. Furthermore, Mullice alleges that Delta failed to address these issues despite her complaints. In addition to racial discrimination, Mullice accuses Delta of retaliating against her for using pre-approved Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) days due to severe migraines. She claims that Delta conducted an intrusive investigation into her FMLA usage and harassed her through their internal systems.

Mullice's lawsuit also highlights alleged violations under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), claiming that Delta mismanaged its Employee Assistance Program (EAP) by mandating participation without proper justification or appeal rights. She asserts that this mismanagement led to unnecessary financial burdens on employees like herself who were compelled to pay out-of-pocket for therapy sessions covered under EAP benefits.

In seeking redress from the court, Mullice demands both monetary compensation and equitable relief for damages suffered due to alleged violations of federal laws including Section 1981 of the Civil Rights Act of 1866, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), New York State Human Rights Law, and New York City Human Rights Law.

Representing Alicia Mullice is Rudy A. Dermesropian from his law offices. The case is presided over by Judge [Name not provided] under Case ID: 1:25-cv-06507.
