Stony Brook Southampton is set to continue its annual tradition with the Windmill Lighting and Holiday Gathering on Thursday, December 5, from 6-8 pm. The event is open to the public and aims to spread holiday cheer.

The program will feature the lighting of the iconic windmill, followed by a reception at the Stony Brook Southampton Library where seasonal refreshments will be served.

Attendees can also enjoy family-friendly activities including a photobooth sponsored by the Alumni Association, a crafts table for children, face painting, an appearance by Wolfie, and musical performances by members of the Stony Brook University orchestra.

The windmill has been a cherished landmark and historical icon at its current campus site on Shinnecock Hills since 1888.
