Seawolves Pantry aids over 700 users annually at Stony Brook University

Lorraine Rubino Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Strategic Initiatives and Assistant Vice President for Presidential Initiatives | Stony Brook University

Investing in the Seawolves Pantry supports the success and well-being of the Stony Brook University campus community. The pantry, located in the Stony Brook Union, Suite L-20, is dedicated to serving members of the campus community who need a reliable and stable supplemental food source. It also provides other essential resources and related referrals.

Annually, the pantry fulfills more than 4,000 visits, serving over 700 unique users. These include students across all academic levels and residential statuses—both commuters and on-campus residents—as well as faculty, staff, and affiliates.

"Help ensure that Stony Brook students have access to essential resources," says a representative of the initiative. This access allows them to focus on their primary goals at Stony Brook: obtaining a top-tier education and enjoying an enriching student life experience.

The initiative encourages setting up recurring donations for those who wish to contribute regularly. "Set up a recurring donation today for peace of mind knowing you helped fuel a Seawolf!"
