Due to anticipated weather conditions, the William Floyd School District has announced a two-hour delay for Wednesday, February 12. The Floyd Academy will also follow this delayed schedule.

Students who use bus transportation should arrive at their stops two hours later than usual. Those who are dropped off or drive themselves should also plan to arrive two hours later. Upon arrival, high school and middle school students will proceed directly to their first period class, with shortened periods ensuring attendance in all classes. Breakfast and lunch services will continue as normal, and schools will dismiss at regular times.

After-school activities are expected to occur as planned, though parents are advised to confirm specific programs with their child's coach or advisor. All before-school activities and clubs have been canceled.

For UPK programs, parents should contact their child’s teacher or provider directly due to separate scheduling arrangements. The William Floyd High School Equivalency Program (GED) is canceled for the day. Additionally, the Occupational Education program at Milliken Technical Center and Bixhorn Technical Center is canceled; however, students attending these programs should expect buses starting at 10:15 am for an 11:15 am arrival at the high school.

The Floyd Academy Interim Placement will operate normally.

The district assures that if there are any changes such as a closure instead of a delay, notifications will be made promptly.
