Haugland Group donates trucks to support William Floyd automotive technology academy

The William Floyd High School Automotive Technology Academy has received a donation of two 2012 Dodge Ram trucks from Haugland Group LLC. This contribution adds to the three vehicles donated by Haugland over the past year, which includes a 2017 Dodge Ram truck. The vehicles will be used by students to learn vehicle maintenance and repair skills, including tune-ups, oil changes, and engine and transmission repair.

"Haugland Group LLC continues to be a great partner for the William Floyd School District CTE program," according to representatives from William Floyd High School. They have supported the school with donations of vehicles, job shadowing opportunities, headquarter visits, networking opportunities, and trips to Citi Field.

The Automotive Technology Program at William Floyd High School is a two-year course designed to teach advanced automotive theory and practical skills related to automobile repair. The curriculum follows standards set by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation/Automotive Service Excellence. Topics covered include shop safety, tool usage, electrical systems, brakes, steering and suspension systems, transmissions, engine performance and repair, HVAC systems, as well as shop management.

William Floyd High School's Career and Technical Education (CTE) program offers eight academies in various interest areas and five pathways in business and technology. These programs aim to prepare students for careers or further education in fields such as Accounting, Architecture, Business Management, Engineering, Microsoft Office Specialist certifications among others.

Haugland Group LLC specializes in infrastructure services providing energy and civil construction solutions. The company is experienced in engineering project management as well as design build EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) contracting methods.
