High school art exhibition at Suffolk County Community College set for March

Suffolk County Community College's Flecker Gallery is set to host a High School Art Exhibition from March 24 through April 4, 2025. The exhibition will showcase the artistic talent of high school students from Suffolk County. A reception and award ceremony is scheduled for March 27 from 5-7 p.m., with awards being announced at 5 p.m.

The exhibition will feature awards for best of show, as well as additional categories for best 2D, 3D, and digital art. Invited high schools include Bayport Blue Point, Bell Port, Centereach, Comsewogue, Connetquot, East Islip, Earl L. Vandermeulen, Hauppauge, Saint John the Baptist, Saint Anthony’s, Longwood, Miller Place, Mt. Sinai, Newfield, Patchogue-Medford, Rocky Point, Sachem East and North, Sayville, Shoreham Wading River, Smithtown and Ward Melville. Students from grades nine through twelve will submit artwork in various mediums including painting, photography, collage, drawing sculpture digital art and time-based media.

Suffolk County Community College is noted as the largest community college within the State University of New York (SUNY) system enrolling over 21 thousand students across more than one hundred degree and certificate programs.
