Suffolk County Community College hosts open house at multiple campuses

Shirley E. Coverdale Chair | Suffolk County Community College

Suffolk County Community College is set to host an open house for new and prospective students on April 6, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. The event will be held across all three campuses in Riverhead, Selden, and Brentwood, as well as the Culinary Arts Center in Riverhead.

During the open house, faculty and administrators will provide detailed information about the college's degree and certificate programs. Admissions staff will assist with inquiries and help complete the admissions process. Financial aid representatives will explain recent changes to FAFSA and discuss grants and loans. Information on scholarships available to Suffolk students will also be provided.

Joanne E. Braxton, Suffolk’s Dean of Enrollment Management, stated: “We look forward to welcoming students and their families as they learn about our academic programs and student support services.” She added that visitors would have the chance to tour the campus with student guides who can answer questions.

Veterans attending the open house can access educational and transitional services information through campus representatives.

Prospective students are encouraged to RSVP by visiting a specified link.
