William Floyd High School students create leprechaun traps for St. Patrick’s Day

April Coppola President | William Floyd School District

Students from William Floyd High School's Freshman Class Council teamed up with the Peer-Assisted Learning Strategies (PALS) club for a St. Patrick’s Day-themed arts and crafts activity. The Freshman Class Council is overseen by Michael Kellerman and Michael Lacarruba, while the PALS club is led by Carmella Currao.

Participants from both groups engaged in crafting "leprechaun traps" using cardboard boxes. The students decorated their creations with markers, gold coins, and green- and gold-colored bead necklaces. Festive music accompanied the activity, adding to the event's atmosphere.

The collaboration allowed students to enjoy creating colorful traps designed to attract any leprechauns visiting William Floyd High School during St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
