The William Floyd School District has released the checklist and guidelines for the upcoming high school graduation ceremony scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. The event will be held outdoors, with rain dates set for Sunday, June 29, or Monday, June 30.

Graduates are required to meet all academic requirements as outlined by the State of New York and the district's Board of Education. A mandatory graduation rehearsal is set for Thursday, June 26, at 10 a.m., where students will receive their caps and gowns.

Students must settle any outstanding fines by June 20 and submit their Graduation Surveys by May 30. Proper attire is expected during the ceremony; girls should wear dresses or slacks with flat shoes while boys should wear shirts with ties and dress slacks. No jeans or sneakers are allowed.

Graduates are advised to arrive by 8:15 a.m. on the day of the ceremony. Female students will meet in the west gym while male students will assemble in the east gym. Students must bring their name cards distributed during rehearsal for proper announcement during the ceremony.

Behavior guidelines emphasize maintaining a dignified atmosphere throughout the event. Students misbehaving may face removal from the ceremony.

Spectators can park on the south side of the high school with shuttle services available to transport them to the athletic field. Photographs taken during the event will be available online after approximately three to five days.

Other significant events include Academic Awards Night on May 29 and Senior Scholarship Night on June 5 in addition to a Senior Prom scheduled for June 13 at Villa Lombardi’s in Holbrook.
