Renowned musician Mark Wood joins WFSD fifth graders for special performance

Kevin Meyer Board Member | William Floyd School District

Mark Wood, an Emmy-winning composer and former member of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, is set to perform with fifth-grade student-musicians from the William Floyd School District. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 4 at 6 pm in the William Floyd High School auditorium.

Wood will bring his "Electrify Your Symphony" educational program to collaborate with these young performers. This initiative follows his previous engagement with middle and high school students during last year's Night of 1,000 Strings.

The concert is free to attend and aims to provide a unique experience for both the students and the audience.

On the same day, there will be on-site registration for WFSD Summer Music Camps between 5 pm and 7 pm. A designated table will be available for parents or guardians to register their children in person, accepting cash, money orders, or checks.
