The William Floyd School District has announced that the first day of classes for students in grades K-12 will be Tuesday, September 2, 2025. The district’s calendar for the 2025-26 school year is available online, and printed copies are expected to arrive in residents’ mailboxes soon.
Schedules for students in grades K-8 will be accessible on the Parent Portal after business hours on Monday, August 25. High school schedules for grades 9-12 will be posted at the close of business on Thursday, August 28. Parents and guardians are encouraged to check their login credentials ahead of time to ensure access when schedules are released. Assistance is available by email for those experiencing difficulties logging into the portal.
For the upcoming academic year, all students enrolled in the William Floyd School District will continue to receive free breakfast and lunch. This is possible due to approval from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for participation in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which allows schools in qualifying communities to offer meals at no cost regardless of family income level. Additionally, New York State is launching a statewide free meal program starting with this school year.
