According to the statement from William Floyd Elementary School, "The William Floyd Elementary School believes that when the school community and parents work together, actively participating in the educational process, student achievement improves dramatically. We believe that parents play a crucial role in their child’s development. Our goal is to provide assistance to parents in understanding NYS Common Core Standards in Literacy and Mathematics as well as other curriculum that Kindergarten – 5th students will be taught.  Our school/home partnership is accomplished by providing the following opportunities for parents to influence their child’s education."
