Suffolk Community College Foundation’s annual golf classic supports scholarships and academic programs

The Suffolk Community College Foundation will hold its 41st Annual Golf Classic on October 20 at Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton, New York. The event has reached capacity for golfers, but some sponsorship opportunities are still available. Funds raised will go toward student scholarships and academic programs at Suffolk County Community College.

This year’s honoree is Ryan T. Kesner, principal of Ryan T. Kesner Architect PC. Kesner, an alumnus of Suffolk County Community College, has contributed to the architectural development of Long Island by designing more than one million square feet of various spaces. He has received several awards for his work, including two appearances on the Long Island Power List as one of the most influential people in architecture on Eastern Long Island. In addition to his professional achievements, Kesner has been recognized by Suffolk County Community College for supporting its Foundation and also contributes to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and the USA Hockey Foundation.

Suffolk County Community College is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and enrolls over 26,000 students in more than 100 degree and certificate programs. The college reports approximately 145,000 alumni and emphasizes connections between education and regional workforce needs through established pathways from high school to careers.
